LAUND FARM

CHIPPING, PRESTON

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

In 2009, Laund Farm had over 15 different events and meetings at the farm; these included young farmers, grassland societies, school visits, and Environmental Stewardship Agencies.

This year (2010) Laund Farm will be developing 'Educational Access' within the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme, and will be converting one of the barn rooms into a teaching/events room along with group facilities. The farm will then be hosting visits from local primary schools that are taking part in the RSPB & Bowland AONB Education Project.

A small hide is planned to allow people to observe farm wildlife.

SPECIAL EVENTS
In 2009 Laund Farm was invited to host the Northern Sheep Association's ' North Sheep 2009'. This was an honour and a challenge with 42 sheep breed stands and over 130 exhibitor stand. 'North Sheep 2009' was opened by Jim Paice MP, Shadow Agricultural Minister.

FOOTPATHS

All the footpaths and a bridleway (used by mountain bikes) are popular and allow Laund Farm to 'advertise' its activities and products to all those passing through.
