The Cumbria Hill Farms Charter in France

On 17th September the Cumbria Hill Farms Charter was presented to our partners in Lozère (the Cevennes National Park).
Geoff Brown, Terry McCormick and Mervyn Edwards (Natural England, and Hill Farming Systems Steering Group Member) demonstrated the web site during a special conference at Florac. This provided an opportunity to compare practice; influence the formation of European Hill Farms Charter; and make plans to include some Lozère hill farms on the Cumbria site.

The Cumbria Fells and Dales Leader + programme is based at Voluntary Action Cumbria and is part-financed by the European Agriculture Guidance and Guarantee Fund of the European Union and the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs. This project is part of a trans-national project with Gévaudan Leader + Programme, Lozère, France.
