This farm offers a warm welcome to visitors and asks them to keep to the marked footpaths; keep dogs on the lead and close all gates behind them.

Cobble Hey has a tea room offering local home made produce for visitors.

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

Cobble Hey is a place for recreation, education, enjoyment and discovery. These are some of the open gardens and open farm events:

Meet the animals; animal feedings; chick holding; lamb and calf feeding; pony grooming; charity pig racing (3 times a year raising money for Cancer Care, The Baby Beat Appeal (Sharoe 'Green Maternity Unit at Royal Preston) and St Catherine's Hospice); Family walks from 40 mins up to 7 hours; Tramper Trails (disabled access); binocular hire for use in bird hide and on the 'Lapwing walk'; plant sales; high quality produced food using own or local produce; shearing competitions; sheep dog trials; stonewalling competitions; family fun days; private room hire; craft days and vintage car days

Several Festival Bowland events are held annually with RSPB, Wyre Borough Council and the AONB including walks to watch the nesting wading birds.

Ample interpretation material on breeding waders and other farm wildlife around the farm is available on information boards, in the bird hide and farm cafe.

FOOTPATHS
There is a public footpath through to Calder Vale and a bridleway.

ACCESS

A new permissive route around the farm is being created under the HLS scheme to allow all visitors easy access by foot or by tramper to the farm wildlife. This is part of a wider set of access routes in the area that extends to neighbouring farms.
