VISITORS

 

This farm offers a warm welcome to visitors and asks them to keep to the marked footpaths, keep dogs on the lead and close all gates behind them.

RECREATIONAL FACILITIES

Barkin Gate runs a shoot once a week from November through to January; small corners of the farm are reserved and managed for the pheasants. Malcolm does gamekeeping for the shoot , and the farm caters for the shooters.

The farm has undertaken farm walks for the Bowland Festival, and this year (2010) there will be a visit to watch the lapwings.

Trial motorcyclists use parts of the farm once a year and pay to do this.

FOOTPATHS
A bridleway goes through the farm and this is used by horses and mountain bikes.
